FRONTIER KLEINTIERSPEZIALISTEN is a modern multidisciplinary referral centre for dogs and cats located east of Munich. Working closely with referring veterinarians, we share one goal: to provide the best possible care for our patients.

Our team of internationally recognised specialists covers surgery, neurology, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, physiotherapy and oncology. We use state-of-the-art equipment and remain at the forefront of veterinary medicine through continuous professional development and research. The Position

Are you looking to specialise further and gain in-depth experience in diagnostic imaging? As part of a structured training programme, we are looking for a Specialty Intern in Diagnostic Imaging (all genders) to join us from January 2027.

Your Responsibilities

Performing and interpreting ultrasound, radiographic, MRI and CT examinations
Working closely with our senior clinicians and veterinary nurses
Participating in a rotating shift system that includes evening, night and weekend daytime shifts
The initiation of a research project is encouraged

Your Profile

  • Degree in veterinary medicine
  • German veterinary licence to practise (“Approbation”)
  • Ideally, at least two years of clinical experience and/or completion of a rotating internship
  • Previous experience in diagnostic imaging would be an advantage
  • A strong willingness to learn and a hands-on approach
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Specialty Internship in Diagnostic Imaging at Frontier GermanyWhat You Can Expect

We offer a one-year clinical Specialty Internship in Diagnostic Imaging under the supervision of two senior radiologists (Dip.ACVR and Dip.ACVR/Dip.ECVDI). In addition to practical, case-based training in the daily clinical environment, we place particular emphasis on the continuous professional development of all our Specialty Interns.

Regular participation in in-house training sessions, Journal Clubs and Book Clubs forms an integral part of the programme. All our interns also have access to the complete and continuously expanding Vet Meet Library, which includes more than 200 webinars.
Subject to satisfactory professional performance and personal suitability, the Specialty Internship offers the opportunity to progress to a Residency in Diagnostic Imaging at FRONTIER upon completion of the programme.
