DEAR COLLEAGUES AND FRIENDS,

It is with great sadness we inform you of the recent death of Professor Robert Wrigley, who will always be remembered by his invaluable contribution to Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. Professor Wrigley was an active member of EAVDI and ECVDI. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time. He has been a source of inspiration to all, and many of us are so thankful to have known him.

Professor Robert Wrigley completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney, his Masters at Colorado State University and Diploma in Veterinary Radiology from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. He rejoined the Faculty after a 28 year appointment as Professor of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging at Colorado State University. 
Professor Wrigley was a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology and the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and had an international reputation in diagnostic imaging, including ultrasonography, digital radiography and .

His research interests included development of optimal veterinary imaging presets for computed radiography systems, thoracic radiology of small animals and ultrasonography of acute abdomen. 
Publication.-Professor Wrigley is a co-author of the Handbook of Small Animal Radiological Diagnosis and has published many papers on diagnostic imaging.
