Yes, this is a responsive website meaning; its design changes to accommodate the device you use to view it. Generally we recommend a larger screen, this will give you a better experience but indeed, you can access all pages with a phone if you need to.
There are some pages we strongly recommend viewing with a larger screen. For example, there are resource listings that are much easier to navigate when you have more screen-space but the choice is yours.
A group of links (or what Facebook calls 'Tabs') is a menu. There are a few different stylings, designed to suit a page as needed but generally it's quite obvious. A Menu is a set of links.
A 'Side-Bar' refers to a vertical column, typically to the left or right of the screen. Why this is mentioned in our FAQ is because smaller screens may not have a side-bar. Hence within our FAQ, if you see 'side-bar' we generally are speaking to users viewing with Desktop, Laptop or larger Tablet devices.
A 'Landing Page' is simply the first page in a website section. It is essentially an index for that part of a website.
Generally a website login requires at least two pieces of information to grant access. Our site has the ability to allow members to use an 'alias' along with a password. The 'username / alias' has however more commonly become simply a person's email address.
Those members registered prior to 2023 may have an alias, those after just use their email address. Any member can request administrators change their 'Username'. Please remember, an email address is easier, an alias is more secure. They are both good.
